sailboat |
A sailboat is a boat that is pushed by wind blowing against its sails. Sails are large pieces of cloth attached to a tall pole on the boat. When the sails are opened up wide, they catch the wind, which causes the boat to move. Modern sailboats often have a motor in addition to their sails. With a motor, a sailboat can still move if there is no wind. |
