Word processing is what a computer does when it creates text from the things you type on your computer keyboard. A program for word processing allows words to appear on the screen and also lets you do things like cut and paste pieces of text, delete things you don't want, and decide things like how large you want your letters to look.
Before people owned computers that could do many different things, they sometimes had machines that just did word processing. These machines did not connect to the internet. |
