noun |
definition: |
A sunbeam is a ray of light that we can see coming down from the sun. Sunbeams look like thin lines of sunlight coming down through the sky. On a sunny day with blue sky, we don't really see sunbeams in the sky, but little children usually show sunbeams when they paint a picture of the sun on a clear day.
We often see sunbeams when the sun begins to come out after it rains.
