definition: |
A piñata is a colorful, decorated container in the shape of a star, animal, or popular character. It is filled with candies, little toys, or other treats. People hang a piñata up in the air and children try to break it open with a stick. The children have to wear a blindfold so it's not too easy to hit the piñata. When the piñata breaks open, all the candies and treats fall to the ground.
I liked the piñata so much that I was a little sad when Andy broke it.
