If one person thinks another person or business injured them in some way, they might go to a lawyer so that they can sue that person or business. When someone sues another person, they use the law to make that person come to court. In the court, it will be decided whether or not that person really caused injury to the first person. If it is decided that that person did cause injury, then that person will usually be made to pay money to the first person.
Many people sued the car company because a problem with the steering wheel caused injuries to them. They claimed that the maker of the cars knew about the problem before they sold them. |
